The 2021 Roadster features the same racing-derived engine technology as the Coupe, a handcrafted 4.0L AMG® V8 biturbo engine that’s capable of 523 horsepower and 494 lb-ft of torque. The engine pairs with the same 7-speed AMG® SPEEDSHIFT® DCT with a dual-clutch rear-mounted transaxle and RWD capability. When tested on the track, the AMG® GT Roadster was able to reach up to 193 mph and went from 0-60 mph in approximately 3.7 seconds flat. The vehicle also comes standard with AMG® Dynamic Select and allows you to choose between five driving modes, including Comfort, Sport, Sport+, Slippery and RACE. In terms of handling, the Roadster comes with AMG® RIDE CONTROL with a sport suspension, speed-sensing dynamic power steering, an AMG® high-performance composite braking system, and a 3-stage electronic stability program.
The interior of the Roadster is a bit more upscale than the Coupe and offers luxe finishes, including MB-Tex/DINAMICA upholstery. Upgrade to receive Nappa leather upholsteryand your choice between three trim options, including AMG® Black Piano Lacquer trim. For comfort, enjoy Mercedes’ AirScarf feature and heated seats, or upgrade to get ventilated seats. In terms of technology, the vehicle features a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and 10.25-inch multimedia system like the Coupe. The display offers features like an AM/FM/HD radio, Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and hands-free Bluetooth® capabilities. You can access this system by simply saying “Hey Mercedes”, then tell it what you’d like the car to do.
The 2021 AMG® GT Roadster is designed to honor the traditional racing design we all know and love, mixed with some hints of modern details. The vehicle comes in nine sleek color options and pairs with your choice between six wheel designs, including 19″/20″ titanium AMG® forged cross-spoke wheels. The body of the Roadster features a power, soft-top, an AMG®-specific grille, and, for a moodier look, upgrade to the AMG® Exterior Night Package and receive jet-black accents. These accents include the front air-dam splitter, grille bar surrounds, front fender-vent fins, side mirrors, mirror housings, tailpipes, and rear apron trim.
